Red Dirt Ecology provides professional biodiversity surveys, assessment and planning across northern NSW and surrounding regions. We specialise in vegetation and habitat assessment, threatened species surveys, acoustic surveys and camera trapping. Our field-based approach combines scientific rigor with practical on-ground knowledge to deliver reliable ecological outcomes.

We build durable Habitat boxes from hardwood timber with designs informed by decades of field experience. To ensure project success we can undertake habitat assessments and planning to design restoration projects. We install our Habitats to ensure optimum placement and attachment to tree. We can design and implement monitoring programs using cameras traps and inspection cameras to assess usage and project success.

  • Handcrafted to provide critical habitat for gliders, possums, microbats and birds in regrowth vegetation and areas where tree hollows are scarce.

Red Dirt Ecology can plan and implement vegetation restoration programs with experience working from the tall wet forests in the ranges to the rainforests remnants and regrowth of the Big Scrub to coastal floodplain forests and dunes. We can deliver bush regeneration works as well as planning and management of landscape scale restoration programs.
